U.S. animation "The Croods: A New Age" continues to lead China's daily box office

BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. animated comedy film "The Croods: A New Age" remained at the top spot at China's daily box office Sunday, earning about 48.39 million yuan (7.35 million U.S. dollars), data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed Monday.

The film, a sequel to DreamWorks Animation's 2013 animated feature "The Croods," opened on the Chinese mainland on Friday and has raked in a total box office earning of 125 million yuan so far.

Chinese action crime film "Caught in Time" ranked second, generating about 30.5 million yuan.

The movie's total box office revenue reached 393 million yuan within 10 days after its release.

Coming in third was the domestic feature film "One Second," which grossed over 20.8 million yuan on the third day of its screening.

Set in the 1970s, the film, directed by renowned Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou, revolves around a deep bond formed by a father who has lost his daughter and a wandering girl because of a movie. Enditem
