An owl-shaped Zun dating back over 3,000 years is a treasure in Henan Museum in Henan, China. Zun is a type of bronze wine vessel used by Shang-dynasty (1600-1046 BC) aristocrats during ritual ceremonies. The owl-shaped Zun was excavated in 1976 at the Fuhao tomb of the ruins of Yin in Anyang. Fuhao was China's first female general and wife of one emperor of Shang Dynasty. Nearly 2,000 items including 468 pieces of bronzeware were excavated from the tomb. There were a pair of wine containers made in the shape of a standing owl. The other one is collected by the National Museum of China in Beijing. The Fuhao Owl-shaped Zun shows the highly developed bronze civilization of the Shang Dynasty.
