RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo opened up a 10-point lead at the top of the Brazilian Serie A standings on Sunday by coming from behind to secure a 3-1 home win over Bahia.

The visitors went ahead just before halftime at the Maracana courtesy of a Willian Arao own goal but teenage playmaker Reinier equalized with a powerful header after Gabriel Barbosa's cross from the right.

Barbosa was again the provider as his slide rule pass left Bruno Henrique with an easy tap in at the far post. Inter Milan loanee Barbosa then netted his 21st league goal of the season when he was first to react after Arao's free-kick rebounded off the crossbar.

Flamengo now have 77 points from 32 matches as they bid for their first Serie A title in a decade.

Meanwhile, Gremio consolidated fourth spot in the standings after a Luciano de Rocha strike gave them a 1-0 win at Chapecoense. The Porto Alegre outfit has now won five consecutive league matches since a 5-0 loss to Flamengo in the second leg of their Copa Libertadores semifinal in October.

In the northeastern city of Maceio, Vasco ended a four-game winless run with a 3-0 victory over CSA. Raul and Oswaldo Henriquez were on target for the visitors while Carlos Andrade scored an own goal.

In other matches on Sunday, Atletico Paranaense won 1-0 at Sao Paulo, Atletico Mineiro and Cruzeiro drew 0-0 in their Belo Horizonte derby and Internacional won 2-1 at home to Fluminense.
