SHENZHEN, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- China's tech hub Shenzhen in the southern province of Guangdong introduced "Entrepreneurs' Day" Friday, as an effort to boost entrepreneurial spirit and create a favorable environment for entrepreneurship.

During Entrepreneurs' Day, Shenzhen holds forums for entrepreneurs and reports on their achievements to further support enterprises' innovation and development.

According to data from Shenzhen's federation of industry and commerce, the city has about 240 commercial entities and 150 enterprises per 1,000 people, ranking first in the country in terms of entrepreneurship density.

Private enterprises account for more than 90 percent of enterprises in Shenzhen, of which the number has maintained double-digit growth for many years, becoming an important driving force for the city's high-quality development.
