MINSK, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed his readiness to support new joint projects with China's Midea Group.

"We have always paid great attention to the cooperation between Belarus and China. It is great that the company intends to expand its presence in our country. We are ready to support any of your projects," Lukashenko said on Monday during a meeting with Chairman and President of Midea Group Fang Hongbo.

The Belarusian leader said that they will continue to provide all-round support and assistance to the development of partnership relations between Belarus and China.

"I am ready to hear out any suggestions on further mutual cooperation and your promising projects in Belarus. You will always find full understanding and support here," Lukashenko said.

For his part, Midea Group's Chairman and President Fang Hongbo thanked for the support that the Belarus' government has offered in the past ten years.

"We intend to position Belarus as a hub which will cover all the CIS countries, to develop the production of microwave ovens and water heaters", Fang said.

Fang Hongbo added that they plan to produce household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines in Belarus.

In 2007, Midea Group came to Belarus with direct investments. It established a joint venture in the Free Economic Zone Minsk with Belarus' Horizont Holding Company to produce microwave ovens and water heaters.
