MOSCOW, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- At least 17 passengers, including 15 children, were injured on Wednesday when a tour bus collided with a truck in Western Russia, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at 5:25 p.m. local time on a federal highway, some 200 kilometers northeast of Moscow in Yaroslavl region, Russia's Emergencies Ministry said in a statement.
Later in the day, Dmitry Mironov, governor of Yaroslavl region, wrote on Facebook that the bus driver, in a serious condition, was hospitalized, while another adult and 15 children received non-life-threatening injuries.
The regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said in a statement that a probe into the accident was underway.
