Tongban Village is located in a mountainous area of Guangxi. The 50-year-old migrant worker Long Gexiong chose to stay in hometown in Tongban after the Spring Festival in 2012. He launched a project to develop his hometown and established a cooperative with his cousins. They planted plum trees and grapes and did tourism business with initial capital they earned as migrant workers. Although they encountered many difficulties at first, they have never given up. Local villagers supported their work. Many people came to build roads on the mountain and planted trees together. In the past few years, more and more migrant workers of the village returned home to support Long's project. Meanwhile, local government also supported Long's hometown development project and invested about three million yuan (about 451,000 U.S. dollars) in the construction of "clean village" and "ecological village".
