PHNOM PENH, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Approximately 1.06 million Cambodians are working in Thailand, sending home about 1 billion U.S. dollars a year, Cambodian Labour Ministry spokesman Heng Sour said on Wednesday.
"About 360,000 of them are undocumented workers," he told reporters.
Thailand is the largest market for Cambodian laborers, followed by Malaysia and South Korea.
According to a National Police report, some 50,000 Cambodian migrant workers were expelled from Thailand in 2016 because of their illegal status.
