WARSAW, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Nearly half of Poles perceives the adoption of the euro as something negative, according to a recent survey published Friday.
The majority of respondents believed entering the euro zone would be unfavorable to their economic situation.
According to the survey result, 49 percent of Poles negatively perceive adopting the euro as a currency, while 64 percent believe it would be disadvantageous as far as their financial condition is concerned.
Nearly half of the respondents believed entering the euro zone would be unfavorable to Poland's economy, while 52 percent regarded the common currency as a negative factor to national identity.
The survey was carried out between Dec. 2 and 7, on a nationwide, representative sample of 1,051 Poles.
