JAKARTA, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's consumer price index is forecast to rise at a slower pace in December as most of unprocessed foods' prices have been in check, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution said here Tuesday.

Inflation would be at 0.2 to 0.3 percent in December on monthly basis, falling from 0.47 percent in November, according to Nasution.

Experts believe that people's weak purchasing power has contributed to the subdued inflation in the country.

The Indonesian central bank has forecast the country's annual inflation at 3.2 percent, falling from 3.35 percent last year.
