SARAJEVO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Direct flights between Sarajevo and Budapest will be launched in 2017, the Sarajevo International Airport said on Thursday.
Hungarian airline Wizz Air will commence flights from the Sarajevo International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, starting April 5, 2017, the airport said in a statement.
According to the statement, the new Wizz Air line will be on the Sarajevo-Budapest-Sarajevo route, twice a week.
The airport currently hosts 12 airlines, linking Sarajevo with 13 destinations.
The airport on December 5 welcomed its 800,000th passenger for the year 2016, registering a new record. Enditem
