SINGAPORE, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.98 points, or 0.03 percent, to close at 2,958.86.
A total of 1.84 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.39 billion Singapore dollars (982.14 million U.S. dollars).
Gainers outnumbered decliners 240 to 216, while 644 others finished unchanged.
