TOKYO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- A five-year old boy was killed and two men injured in a fire at an art festival held outside the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo on Sunday, local media reported.
One of the modern art works exhibited at the festival, a wooden jungle gym made by a group of local university students, reportedly caught fire at around 5:15 p.m. local time.
A boy who was believed to be playing by the jungle gym was killed, and two men who tried to rescue the boy were injured, one of which was the boy's father.
The fire was probably caused by sawdust on the jungle gym ignited by nearby lighting, police said.
Local fire department received report about the fire around 5:20 p.m. local time. The fire was soon put out.
The organizer of the event said it had checked the jungle gym before the incident but did not see any risk of fire.
The police are making further investigation into the incident.
