JAKARTA, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- A boat has capsized in waters off Aceh province of western Indonesia, leaving five people missing, a senior official of local disaster agency said on Saturday.
Extreme weather was blamed for the incident near Simeuleu Island, said Iksan, head of emergency unit at disaster agency in the island.
"Bad weather condition and huge waves hit the boat," he told Xinhua by phone from Simeuleu Island.
Four people survived the sea incident, Iksan added.
Soldiers, police, rescuers from local search and rescue office as well as officials at the local disaster agency had involved in search and rescue operation for the victims, he said. Enditem
