VIENTIANE, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- As many as 995 lives were claimed by road accidents in Laos in 2015, according to the National Statistics Bureau on Tuesday.
Capital Vientiane topped the list of road accident death toll during the year when 237 people died, Lao state-run news agency KPL quoted the statistics agency as saying.
Central Xaysomboun province, northern Xieng Khuang and Huaphan provinces had the lowest number of road accident deaths with 32 people in total.
Laos holds over 1.3 million motorcycles, some 337,000 cars and 53,000 trucks till the end of 2015.
