TOKYO, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 100 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, principally in line with levels seen overnight in New York during which the dollar spiked to a one-month high.
As markets opened here today, the dollar was quoted at 100.39-40 yen compared with 100.29-39 yen in New York and 100.60-63 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1249-1250 dollars and 112.93-95 yen against 1.1248-1258 dollars and 112.81-91 yen in New York and 1.1230-1234 dollars and 113.00-04 yen in late trade on Monday afternoon in Tokyo.
