BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- China will launch its first non-stop flight between Guangzhou, on the Chinese mainland, and Malacca, Malaysia, to meet increasing travel demand.
China Southern Airlines announced that it will operate the charter flight, connecting Guangzhou in south China's Guangdong Province with the Malaysian city from Sept. 29 to January 2017, using Boeing 737-700 and Airbus A319. It will be scheduled every five days.
Having launched 20 routes to major cities in Southeast Asia this summer, the company expects the new flight to further improve its presence in the regional market.
Malaysia adopted e-visa and visa-free policies for Chinese tourists in March.
