HOUSTON, June 14 (Xinhua) -- An active shooter was reported on Tuesday at a Walmart store in Amarillo, a city in the northern part of the U.S. state of Texas.
According to local TV station KHOU, police and fire crews were now on the scene. There was no reports of injuries but there were reports of a hostage situation.
Police, who warned people to stay out of the area, were searching for a Somalian man wearing Kakhi pants.
Police have shut down the Interstate 27 highway at Georgia northbound frontage road where the Walmart store stands.
