TOKYO, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Friday following weak performances in the overnight U.S. stocks market ahead of policy meetings by U.S. and Japanese central banks next week.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 81.70 points, or 0.49 percent, from Thursday to 16,586.71 in the morning session.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 8.68 points, or 0.65 percent, to 1,328.73.
