CHINA-JILIN-FALCONERS (CN)

Falconer Li Zhongwen trains a peregrine falcon in Yulou Village of Tuchengzi Township of Jilin City, northeast China's Jilin Province, Dec. 22, 2016. Yulou Village, also called "Eagle Village," has more than 50 falconers who inherited ancient Manchu eagle-taming skills. These falconers, instead of catching wild eagles to tame, started rescuing wild raptors under the leadership of Li Zhongwen, who is also president of Eagle Hunting Culture Heritage of Jilin City, in 2013. More than 200 injured raptors have been rescued by the falconers by far. (Xinhua/Wang Haofei)
