7-year-old Algerian school boy wins Arab Reading Challenge

UAE-DUBAI-ARAB READING CHALLENGE

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum (3rd, R) of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), hands over the award to a 7-year-old Algerian school boy during a ceremony in the Dubai Opera, Oct. 24, 2016. The boy won the Arab Reading Challenge and received 150,000 U.S. dollars, according to the official Dubai Media Office. The Arab Reading Challenge is part of the UAE's "Year of Reading" scheme aimed to improve literacy and reading skills in the UAE and across the Arab world. (Xinhua/Li Zhen)
