"Khao Phansa" is a three-month period that begins on the first day after the full moon of the eighth lunar month, which falls on July 9 this year. During this period, Buddhist monks stay in one location, usually in a monastery or on temple grounds, and engage in meditation and prayer. (Xinhua/Rachen Sageamsak)
