Jordan king starts visit to Morocco

RABAT, March 22 (Xinhua) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan started on Wednesday an official visit to Morocco few days ahead of the 28th Arab Summit in Jordan.

King Abdullah II was greeted by King Mohammed VI upon his arrival at the Rabat-Sale Airport.

The two leaders held talks in the royal cabinet after the official welcoming ceremony.

During the three-day visit, the two sides are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation and topics of mutual interest, on the top of them the Palestinian issue.

The two countries have signed some 60 agreements as they are both part of the Agadir Agreement, which is a free trade agreement that came into force in March, 2007. It consists also of Egypt and Tunisia and is open to further membership by all Arab League members. Enditem
