MADRID, March 3 (Xinhua) -- The number of unemployed people in Spain fell 9,355 to 3.7 million in February, according to figures published by the Spanish Ministry of Employment on Thursday.
The ministry also reported that on a year-on-year basis, the number of unemployed people fell 402,110.
Since January, the number of unemployed people have decreased 13,738 in the services sector, 6,676 in the construction sector and 3,388 people in the industry sector.
However, in the agricultural sector, the number of unemployed people increased 9,734.
Minister of Employment and Social Security Fatima Banez said that the country has recovered one in two of the jobs lost during the economic crisis. She said that the employment rate has risen 3.38 percent in the country as a whole.
"Creating job opportunities is our goal in order to guarantee the future of the pensions," she said, promising more and better employment.
