PHNOM PENH, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia has seen progress in border demarcation process with its neighbouring countries, namely Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, a Cambodian Foreign Ministry's senior official said on Tuesday.
Speaking at the ministry's annual meeting here, Foreign Ministry Secretary of State Ouch Borith said that by 2016, the country had achieved 84 percent of border demarcation with Vietnam, and 86 percent with Laos.
With Thailand, he said the two countries' Joint Border Committee had found 65 out of 73 border markers left from the French protectorate, and agreed with 40 border markers and disagreed with 25 markers.
Cambodia shares 1,270-km border with Vietnam to the east, about 533-km border with Laos to the north and northeast and more than 800-km border with Thailand to the north and west.
