MADRID, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Spain's stock market index fell 0.24 percent on Monday to close at 9,492.80 points, down from the 9,515.90 points of Friday.
On Monday's session, Mapfre shares led falls losing 1.39 percent, followed by Banco Santander, Viscofan, Mediaset, IAG and Banco Popular that lost 1.12 percent, 1.07 percent, 1.02 percent, 0.99 percent and 0.99 percent respectively.
On the other hand, Acciona shares led rises climbing 1.64 percent, followed by AENA, Melia Hotels, Ferrovial, Inditex and R.E.C., which rose 1.15 percent, 1.02 percent, 0.95 percent, 0.60 percent and 0.44 percent respectively.
Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 123 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.54 percent. Enditem
