BRUSSELS, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- The European Defense Agency (EDA) on Thursday said it launched a 3D printing project to test its feasibility in the defense field.
The rise of 3D printing technologies has created a variety of possibilities and potential benefits for the defense community, according to EDA's press release.
The project's objective is to assess the areas where the technologies can have a positive impact on defense capabilities
A feasibility Study has been initiated in the framework within the EDA's research and technology sector.
At the end of the project, the results will be presented at an exhibition to high-ranking military staff, along with equipment and demonstrators, in order to raise awareness on the possible impact in defence.
