TOKYO, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares opened flat on Wednesday amid uncertainties over the meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), a 14-member oil-producing group.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average slid 4.87 points, or 0.03 percent, from Tuesday to 18,302.17.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange added 0.53 points, or 0.04 percent, to 1,469.10.
Gainers were led by gas and securities issues while decliners were led by iron and steel and nonferrous metals issues.
