SINGAPORE, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 25.17 points, or 0.89 percent, to close at 2,838.65.
A total of 1.26 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.09 billion Singapore dollars (768.2 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 194 to 193, while 518 others finished unchanged.
The STI index gained 19.49 points, or 0.7 percent, to close at 2,813.48 on Thursday.
