SINGAPORE, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen will be in Vientiane, Laos from Tuesday to Thursday to attend ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting (ADMM) Retreat and ASEAN-Japan Defence Ministers' Informal Meeting, said the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on Tuesday.
MINDEF stated Singapore is an active member of the ADMM and supports its initiatives to strengthen the regional security architecture.
Established in 2006, this year marks the 10th anniversary of ADMM, a platform in ASEAN's security architecture to facilitate dialogue on regional security issues at the ministerial level.
Minister Ng will be accompanied by Permanent Secretary for Defence Chan Yeng Kit as well as other MINDEF and Singapore Armed Forces officials, said the ministry.
