HONG KONG, Nov.15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 17km ESE of Kashima-shi, Japan at 16:15:48 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 50.48 km, was initially determined to be at 35.8979 degrees north latitude and 140.8188 degrees east longitude. Enditem
