JAKARTA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra province of western Indonesia erupted on Sunday, spewing a column of ash up to 1.5 km, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the national disaster management agency said.
