NAIROBI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Kenya Airways pilots on Thursday withdrew their strike notice issued last month, citing progress in talks on issues which they had raised to the airline management.
The Kenya Airline Pilots Association (KALPA) expressed confidence that the issues the pilots had raised over mismanagement of the airline would be resolved amicable.
"Based on the progress on specific issues raised by KALPA, we are confident that these developments will positively impact on the airline's recovery efforts," the union's secretary-general Paul Gichinga said in the capital Nairobi.
The pilots had been seeking the removal of the Kenya Airways' chairman and chief executive. The airline has appointed a new chairman.
The airline has been implementing a recovery plan which mainly focuses on cutting costs and improving operational efficiency. Enditem
