SINGAPORE, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 12.68 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 2,816.26.
A total of 928.6 million shares changed hands with turnover of 877.7 million Singapore dollars (629.3 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 249 to 127, while 522 others finished unchanged.
The STI index gained 0.37 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 2,828.94 on Thursday. \
