HANOI, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on textile materials and accessories will be held in Vietnam from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, drawing more than 190 domestic and foreign enterprises.
According to Vietnam Textile Association (Vitas), the organizer, companies from 15 countries and regions, including China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam among others, will take part in the annual exhibition, to showcase materials, machineries and equipment as well as latest technologies in the textile production.
Also during the period, Vietnam will host the 36th Council Meeting and 34th plenary meeting of the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX), together with an international conference on strengthening supply chain in ASEAN textile sector, Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA quoted Vitas President Vu Duc Giang as saying Wednesday.
During the AFTEX's 36th Council Meeting and 34th plenary session, participants will discuss the current situation of the textile sector in the region, measures to strengthen cooperation and improve capacity in linking production chains among ASEAN members, said Giang.
