Kyrgyz gov't resigns after collapse of coalition

BISHKEK, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Kyrgyz government resigned Wednesday after the breakup of the ruling coalition.

President Almazbek Atambayev's Social Democratic Party left the four-party coalition on Monday as a result of infighting, particularly over constitutional reforms.

Atambayev is expected to ask for the creation of new coalition and the formation of a new government.

The government officials will continue their duties till the formation of a new cabinet.
