China condemns terror attack in Pakistan

BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a police training center in Pakistan Monday night, and voiced support for the Pakistani government's fight against terrorism.

Saying China was shocked by the attack, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang expressed condolences for the victims, and extended sympathy to their families and the injured.

The overnight terrorist attack in Pakistan's southwest city of Quetta has left 60 dead and 117 others injured.

"China opposes terrorism in all forms, and will continue to support the Pakistani government in fighting terrorism, and safeguarding national stability and people's security," Lu said.
