LUSAKA, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- At least 17 people died on the spot while others were injured in a head-on collision between two public buses in western Zambia's provincial capital Mongu, the country's road transport and safety agency confirmed on Friday.
The accident happened in the early hours of Friday when a big bus and small bus coming from opposition directions collided, resulting in the 17 people dying on the spot while several others were injured, five seriously, according to state broadcaster the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation.
The road safety agency, however, said it is still compiling a report to ascertain the cause of the accident. Enditem
