VIENTIANE, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- A children's camp themed "Chinese Culture Park - Lao Camp" opened Tuesday in the Lao capital Vientiane, aiming to promote Chinese culture.

At the camp, 12 teachers from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will teach Chinese folk music, dance, painting, calligraphy and Chinese martial arts to students of Lieutou school in Vientiane following "edutainment" method.

Lin Junxiong, dean of Lieutou, a Chinese-language school, expressed his hope that the camp would help teach students to become friendship ambassadors and inheritors of Chinese-Lao culture, contributing to strengthening the friendship between the two peoples.
