YANGON, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- At lease four people have been confirmed dead with a dozen others missing after a ferry capsized in Myanmar's northwestern Sagaing region, official media reported on Sunday.
The ferry, with about 300 passengers aboard, capsized on Saturday in Chindwin river on its way from Homelin to Monywa after hitting a rock.
The survivors had been pulled out from the river, the report said, adding that a search and rescue operation was underway in the river.
