NAY PYI TAW, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- The second sessions of the two Houses of Myanmar's Parliament will adjourn for one month starting Saturday until the middle of November when the third session is to resume , announced Speaker of Myanmar's House of Representatives U Win Myint Friday.

The current assembly has lasted for over eight months since February.

Speaking at the end of the parliament session in Nay Pyi Taw, U Win Myint urged MPs to make check and balance without intervention in the executive and judiciary sectors, saying that the legislature sector is law-making body and the MPs should observe the existing rule and laws.

U Win Myint called on the MPs to pay attention to the voice of the people with their respective constituencies and to explain their parliamentary undertakings during the adjournment period.

He also urged the MPs to carry out the regional development tasks with the use of the constituency development fund, looking into the land confiscation cases to ensure people would not suffer from the impact.
