ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Two young children were killed and 11 others injured after a school bus carrying a kindergarten class collided with a truck at an intersection in Suixian County, central China's Henan Province, Thursday morning.
The two children died after failing to respond to emergency treatment. The injured are all in stable condition, according to a county government statement.
Carrying 30 children, two teachers and a driver, the 37-seat bus collided with the truck at 8:53 a.m..
There were no traffic lights at the intersection, according to the statement.
Police have detained the truck driver, and an investigation is underway.
