BUDAPEST, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Four people died on Sunday morning when two small planes collided, Pest County Directorate for Disaster Management reported on its website.
The planes, a four-seat Cessna-182 and a six-seat Piper-28, collided in mid-air and both crashed in a wooded area near the town of Godollo, about 30 kilometers northeast of Budapest.
Three people including, apparently one child, were aboard the Cessna and all died. There had been four parachutists aboard the Piper, who had all jumped to safety before the collision, leaving only the pilot on board. The pilot died in the crash.
The accident was reported by an eyewitness but took two hours of searching before a search and rescue helicopter found the Piper in a heavily wooded region. The Cessna went down in a cultivated arbor and was found almost immediately.
