MADRID, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed on Tuesday afternoon when the light aircraft in which they were travelling crashed in a field close to the town of Villanueva del Condado in the north-west of Spain, regional emergency services have confirmed.
The accident happened at 4:12 p.m. local time (1412 GMT) when the plane carrying the two people crashed 800 meters from the center of Villanueva del Condado, close to a food processing plant.
The causes of the crash remain unknown and neither of the victims has been named. However, both have been confirmed as men, one of whom was 30 years old and thought to have been a resident of the area.
Emergency services were called immediately, however, the two occupants of the plane were declared dead at the scene. Enditem
