SYDNEY, Aug 22. (Xinhua) -- Australia's Brisbane city streets have been transformed to resemble New York City with yellow taxis and black and white police cars roaming its roads for the filming of the latest Thor flick.
Local media reported on Monday that hundreds of people had flocked Brisbane's city streets in hopes of catching a glimpse of Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, the two main stars of the Marvel superhero film.
Australian-born Hemsworth was first spotted on-set wearing board shorts and a grey hooded jumper, but changed into jeans and a jacket as filming began early on Monday morning, it was reported.
The Hollywood crew, which has been shooting on Queensland Gold Coast, will film the movie's sequences in Brisbane from Monday until this Thursday.
Traffic, deliveries, pedestrians, and hotel guests will have access to businesses during the road closures around the movie set with short delays expected.
Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released in November 2017.
