SOFIA, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Sofia City Court (SCC) here on Tuesday decided to extradite to France Mourad Hamyd, a French citizen, who was suspected of involvement in a terrorist organization's activities, officials said.
Hamyd would be handed over to the competent authorities of France based on a European Arrest Warrant issued on July 29, 2016, by a prosecutor's office in Paris, SCC said in a statement on its website.
The court's decision is final and not subject to appeal, the statement said.
The French prosecutor's office accused Hamyd of involvement in an organized criminal group aimed at preparation of terrorist acts, the statement said.
According to the French authorities, Hamyd has committed the crime at the end of July 2016, SCC said.
Hamyd, a brother-in-law of one of the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris last year, was detained in Sofia on July 29.
