HANOI, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Typhoon Mirinae, which made landfall in northern Vietnam on Wednesday night, has caused five deaths as of Friday afternoon.
Specifically, the typhoon has triggered torrential rain and landslide in Vietnam's northern Ha Giang province's Hoang Su Phi district since Thursday night. One person was killed in a landslide, reported Bao Ha Giang, an official newspaper of Ha Giang province on Friday.
As a result, death toll from typhoon Mirinae in Vietnam has risen to five. Earlier, three deaths were reported in northern Nam Dinh province and one in capital Hanoi.
In addition, two other people remained missing allegedly due to flood in Ha Giang, bringing total missing people in Vietnam to three.
