SYDNEY, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The southern hemisphere's largest recreational boat show has kicked off in Australia.
More than 220 exhibitors are showing their wares at the Sydney International Boat Show on Friday, including more than 145 boats in a purpose built marina on Darling Harbor, and a further 700 boat hulls in an undercover exhibition space.
The eye catcher of the event, however, is arguably the Ferretti 881 Hardtop super yacht valued at 11.8 million Australian dollars (8.85 million U.S. dollars), a boat more accustomed to the glitz and glamour of the French Riviera.
The annual event that began in 1968 will run until August 1.
