Japanese coast guard training ship visits central Vietnam

HANOI, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Japan Coast Guard Training ship Kojima on Monday anchored at Tien Sa Port in Vietnam's central Da Nang city, some 600 km south of capital Hanoi, starting a friendship visit to Vietnam.

During the visit from Monday to Friday, the ship commanders will pay courtesy calls on leaders of Da Nang People's Committee, Vietnam Coast Guard Command and the Command of Vietnam Coast Guard's region 2, the state-run news agency VNA reported.

Besides, the ship crew will visit Vietnam's Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center No. 1 and play a friendly volleyball match with Vietnam Coast Guard's region 2.

This is the fourth time a Japan Coast Guard ship has paid a visit to Vietnam and the second visit by Kojima ship to Vietnam, said VNA.
