BUENOS AIRES, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Argentina's Finance Minister Alfonso Prat-Gay left here for China on Wednesday to take part in the Third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Chengdu on July 23-24.

Finance ministers and Central Bank governors and deputies will gather in Chengdu, China, from July 21-24 2016 to discuss important matters ahead of the main G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, in September.

"This trip to China has the same goals as recent visits to New York, Madrid and Paris, where the minister maintained intense work agendas with high international officials, multilateral bodies and business groups interested in investing in Argentina", said a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.

Finance Minister Prat-Gay would also take part in a G7 meeting on July 23, after being invited by his Japanese counterpart Taro Aso.

"He will attend the G7 session which will evaluate the regional and global impact of Brexit, after the G7 highlighted on June 24 the importance of evaluating the consequences of this event," read the statement.
